Welcome To Stiegel Elementary School!

Our Mission for Stiegel Elementary School...

To Prepare Responsible Citizens, Who Are Lifelong Learners

Holiday Vacation

MCSD will be closed Wednesday, Dec 24 - Friday, January 2 for Holiday Vacation. Students will return on Monday, January 5th - it will be a Cycle Day 4.   Enjoy!

Friday Ice Cream

Once again 4th grade is selling popsicles after lunch each Friday for $.40.  Students may bring their money to lunch and buy ice cream after they have eaten.  The proceeds from this will be used for a special assembly at the end of the year.

MCSD is now requiring paperwork/clearances for different levels of volunteering in the schools.  Please check the main page of the MSCD website to print out those forms.

We had a beautiful day for our annual Race for Education on Friday, October 24th!  Thank you to our PTO and all of the volunteers who made it such a huge success.  In case you missed out and would like to contribute, please contact Carol Gleeson in the Stiegel Office for more details.

Parent conferences are on Tuesday, November 11th and Thursday, November 13th.  Parents will receive the report cards when they come to the conference.  We will be unveiling our new elementary report cards.  These align to our standards and provide parents with more detailed information about each competency within each discipline.  It is very important that you attend your child's conference to ensure that you have an understanding of their progress in school this year.  Our teachers look forward to meeting with you and working with you, as we go through the year.

Safety is paramount at Stiegel.  In addition to our monthly fire drill, we have practiced an evacuation drill and severe weather drill so far this fall.  In November, we will be conducting an intruder alert drill.  We want our students to be familiar with the steps we take in case we would have an actual event.  Students will be reminded that we will practicing our intruder procedures, but it is only a drill.  We wanted to communicate this information with you in case your child discusses this drill at home.

Our next All-Pro Dad breakfast will be Friday, November 21st at 6:30 am.  We hope to see you there!

I look forward to seeing you all at parent conferences and our other upcoming events.
