Field Day Help

We still need some volunteers for Field Day.  If you can help for the day, please send in your paper to indicate if you can help 6/5 (and/or 6/8-Rain Date).

Parents to Lunch

Parents to Lunch week is this week - May 11-15.   Payment may be taken out of your child's lunch account the day you visit.

Friday Ice Cream

Once again 4th grade is selling popsicles after lunch each Friday for $.40.  Students may bring their money to lunch and buy ice cream after they have eaten.  The proceeds from this will be used for Author Day on May 29th.

MCSD is now requiring paperwork/clearances for different levels of volunteering in the schools.  Please check the main page of the MSCD website to print out those forms.

Hello, Stiegel Parents!

I hope you have been able to enjoy the past few weeks of beautiful weather.  May is here and I am excited about all of the activities coming up this month.  Our last All-Pro Dads breakfast will be held on Friday, May 8th with Ryan and Friends joining us.  Ryan is an accomplished ventriloquist who will provide an assembly for the entire student body after the All-Pro Dads breakfast, so we are in for a treat.  I also look forward to seeing you during the week of May 11th for Parents to Lunch!  We will have our last PTO meeting of the school year on Monday, May 4th starting at 6:30 p.m. in our library.  In addition, we have quite a few field trips and end of the year activities, such as our fourth grade music concert at the Middle School on Tuesday, May 19th at 7:00 p.m.  In addition to these events are some neat opportunities for our families:  MC Night at the Barnstormers is Wednesday, May 6th and on Wednesday, May 20th our World Languages Department will co-sponsor A Night Around the World at the high school auxiliary gymnasium from 6:00-8:00 pm for all elementary school families.

Safety is always a concern, especially now that we are outside enjoying the beautiful warm weather. A reminder to families who pick up children on the playground that our policy does not allow for pets, bikes or skateboards on the playground area as noted on our signs.  As in the past, if your child wears flip-flops to school, he/she will not be allowed to climb on the playground equipment.  Safe footwear for running, climbing, and playing is always preferred.  Also, please be aware of the following dress code concerns: spaghetti straps and holes in jeans above the knee are not allowed, and remember that the shorts/skirts of your child are at an appropriate length.  As it gets warmer we want students to be cool, but be appropriately dressed.  Thank you for your help!

Enjoy the last full month of the school year!
