In addition to the regular lunch, students may choose from 10 sandwich and salad meal options daily. Students must purchase a full meal to be able to buy Ala Carte items, extra drinks, or snacks.

5th and 6th grade students may purchase a 2nd full lunch or an individual Ala Carte item from the lunch menu. Individual items may include main entree items such as pizza, sandwiches, or an extra plate of chicken for example. They may also choose an extra serving of fruit or vegetables, dinner roll, bowl of soup, etc. They may buy one extra drink, not including the milk that comes with the meal. They may purchase one of the following items: Nutrigrain Bars, Granola bar, PBJ Uncrustable, or yogurt. Ice Cream is available for purchase on Friday.

After the purchase of a meal, 7th and 8th graders may purchase a 2nd lunch or Ala Carte item, one extra drink, one ice cream, and one snack item. Please discuss these options with your student to encourage responsible choices.

Each student has an account on which monies are deposited for them to access meals. It is recommended that payments be made by check made payable to “Manheim Central Food Services”. Cash is also accepted. All money received will be placed in the student’s meal account. Payments should be placed in an envelope marked with the student’s first and last name as well as grade and handed in during their first class of the day. There is also a slot at the main office mailboxes for the payments to be placed. All payments must be turned in to the main office by 9:00 AM in order for them to be available for that day’s lunch purchase(s). Students who have qualified for free or reduced lunches may place money in their account if they would like to purchase additional items at lunch.

Families may also make payment online using mySchoolBucks. There is no charge to view your child’s account balance or meal purchases. There is a service charge to make a credit card payment online. More information is available on the Food Service page of the district website. You may also access mySchoolBucks by clicking on the icon the district homepage at www.manheimcentral.org.

Students are notified at the register when their balance reaches $6.00 and are reminded daily until the funds are put on the account. Students may charge up to three lunches ($6.00). Ala Carte purchases are not permitted if a student has charges. A regular lunch will not be provided when a student incurs over $6.00 in charges.
