Pre-K Program

 
Pre-Kindergarten Program Information
Manheim Central School District is pleased to offer a five-day a week Pre- Kindergarten program.  The program is open to district residents who will be 4-years-old on or before August 31st.  There is no cost for the program.  Due to the age of the children, transportation must be provided by the parent/guardian. The selection process for this program is not first come/first serve.  Children are selected on the basis of financial and academic need.  Interested parents should complete the Pre-K application which is available on February 15th of each year. 
 

Pre-K applications are available here or at one of the following locations:

          • Educational Services Center:  101 S. Penn St.
          • District Office:  71 N. Hazel St.

The application deadline is March 31st.  Applications received after this date will only be considered if there have not been an appropriate number of qualified applicants.
Pre-Kindergarten Screenings

Families who meet the financial eligibility requirements will be contacted to set-up a Pre-K academic screening appointment.  The screening appointment will involve a student assessment and parent orientation. Children should wear sneakers and comfortable clothes for the screening. 



Pre-Kindergarten Screenings for 2012-2013 school year will be held at Stiegel Elementary. on April 28, 2011 between the hours of 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM.  Appointments are required.
